The snow came. The children went. And dad got hurt. Actually Dad did not get hurt this time, because he only fell off once...then he was done sledding. The rest of the kids had a great time, even though it was extremely cold with 15 mile per hour winds.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. I John 4:15-17

Blessed end of year!
Whew!!
What a whirlwind of activities these last couple weeks of December.
Although Joshua and Jennifer were not able to join us this Christmas, on Christmas Eve, Jacob, his fiancee, AmyAnn, and Chloe, AmyAnn's daughter, came to visit. They drove straight through from California. Because of the blizzard that they hit coming in, it took 30 hours instead of the normal 20. 6-8 hours was spent around Amarillo, TX due to the closing interstates! But God protected them, and they arrived safely around 1:00AM on Christmas Day. Thus began our whirlwind weekend of busyness. We began our week finishing up the Christmas baking...
All of the family was over for Christmas Day, and we enjoyed
good food, many games, as well as one another.
Jake & AmyAnn
Anna, being introduced to "Bob".There is always time to slip in some goofing around!
Jordan is ready for the sledding!
and the highlight of the day....a nerf machine gun.
This machine takes SIX "D" batteries! It will shoot
3 nerf bullets per second! If you come to visit I
would encourage you to "watch your back"...and
front....and head.....and side....
The day after Christmas we all went ice-skating.
Chloe had only been skating a few times, but she was a
real trooper, and did a great job staying on her feet!
Jacob did a fair job of staying on his feet. ;-)
Sunday afternoon Jeff took everyone sledding. There
wasn't much snow left on the ground, but it was cold
enough for some humorous spills as well as a lot of fun.
We are looking forward to getting back to a more
normal schedule of homeschool, and orchestra.
